Left North Bay around 9:30 with the intention of making Sault Ste Marie about 400 kms. The drive was pretty straight forward directly along Highway 17 - the Trans Canada. It was a lovely day for travel. Around 5:30 we arrived at the Sault. Went for a long walk over to the Locks and along the St. Mary's river. Had dinner at The Docks. Both of us had fish (Brenda - perch; David - Whitefish) and the meals were absolutely great. of course a bottle of wine did help.
