Started the drive around the Olympic Peninsula this morning at around 10. It is about 450kms so it will be a long drive. The road is mostly single lane with a speed limit of 80kms. However there was very little traffic so there was no pressure. Had to watch for the logging trucks though as they sped south from Port Angeles. They definitely were not slowing down. It was an enjoyable drive, with some spectacular scenes on Puget Sound. Once we rounded the top of the peninsula and started along the Pacific coast, the scenery got even better.

Found a room at the local Comfort Inn. Find that they are generally better and more consistent than Best Western and some of the other chains. Also, couldn't beat the room price of $69. Brenda found a great little restaurant called "Mike's Seafood" which is a combination of a fresh seafood store with the restaurant at the back. The food was fresh. I had a Cajun Alaskan Cod and Brenda had Halibut. Both were excellent.
